Hi Jodie

I thought for a long time that the law was meant to bring us to our knees with it's impossible standards of morality. That was until I realized that the law was NEVER given to the gentiles! It was a covenant that ONLY existed between God and Isreal, nobody else could ever attain to relate to God through the law. It existed before we were born and ended also before we were ever born, so there is no way it could have ever applied to us.

Nobody ever said anything about comment #2 on Ex 4:11. Are there no explanations for this?

So are we to disregard the law completely?
Or see that it points to our sinfulness and to the need for Jesus?
Are we to only obey the commands re-stated by Jesus in the New Testament?
Please go further in your explanation..?

Hi Rahman, No words I can say that will take your pain away, but your faith has taught us something new today...
Rahman truly you are special to our God. In your weakness
and sickness He is Glorified .
A Thorn in the Flesh
7 Because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to [b]torment me—to keep me from exalting myself! 8 Concerning this I implored the Lord three times that it might leave me. 9 And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast [c]about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. 10 Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with [d]insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.

Peter, your story sounds almost exactly like mine! We also have about 8-12 people who attend with varying frequency, some of whom continue to attend their secular church meetings on Sundays.

That's awesome brother, grace and peace and freedom be multiplied to you guys as you go from strength to strength.

My wife & I felt God calling us to leave corporate church about 2 yrs ago. We now meet informally with a group of about 10. We have had some join and stay while others have visited for a while but then went back to 'normal church'.
Our meetings differ each time but generally there will be worship, sharing and we always have a meal. Some have gone on short 'mission trips' of some sort and we will anoint and commission them before they go.
Other times healing is required maybe a prophecy given it all depends on what Father wants on that particular day.
Meeting this way is very freeing. I should mention that our giving is usually a private thing seperate from the group.
Every one in the group is free to participate and do so.
Everyone also has a close walk with Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit.
God is so good how can you not love Him.

Good reasoning & well thought out, Brian. I am persuaded that man's will is not stronger than God's will & that anyone can (and will) be convinced of God's saving grace, whether on this side of the veil or the other side. Paul tells us in I Corinthians that "if in THIS life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable." And the writer of Acts refers to "this Jesus, whom the heavens must retain until the RESTORATION OF ALL THINGS . . . "

No Brian,

I am not willing to argue with people who spew out loveless accusations right from the start. You are welcome to live your life bound to an ancient Jewish rule keeping system that will result in death. I will celebrate my freedom in the New Covenant, thank you very much.

Good bye.

You are slandering the very ONE who graciously gave His beautiful Torah and commandments. You have no sense of awe and a simple understanding when it comes to the beauty of His ways. Law has never been the issue, but our hearts that are deceptive and wickend. The Law does certainly point out our sin, but it also shows us how to hit the mark! You have no understanding that Paul was a Jewish Messianic rabbi of the first century and not a twentieth or twenty first century theologian of Protestant background. You make stupid remarks concerning the instructions and teachings of YHWH and caricaturing His character. The Law was never meant to save us, but it was meant for our teachings and instructions revealed in commands after we are saved. This is the pattern of YHWH throughout Tanakh/OT and the Apostolic Writings/NT. Would you like to have a sane discussion of some of the statements and caricatures you made concerning those who desire to follow the ways of the King! You are not seeing God's revelation of His instructions and teachings in the context or setting that they were given. And because of that making silly remarks that have no sense of awe of the living YHWY's revealed word. He is holy and you have treated His instructions and teachinngs as unholy. I take great offense at this!

I willing to have serious dialogue and discussion with you on this subject. Are you willing?
